The idea
Every change starts at a table.
LaRuelist Café grows out of the World Café, a way of gathering that Juanita Brown helped spread to communities around the globe. Small tables. Real questions. People who might never otherwise meet, talking until they find something they can do together. Jeannine brought that practice home to New Jersey in 2020. The podcast is one table. The mixers, the trainings and the conversations still to come are the others.
This is about us.
Our storyHow we gather
Come as you are. Leave with something to do.
01
Make room.
Everyone gets a chair. A title is optional.
02
Ask what matters.
We start with the questions people are living with.
03
Listen across the table.
The best ideas come from people who don't usually meet.
04
Act on it.
A good conversation ends with a next step.
Pull up a chair

Celebrating women who change the game.
In September 2026, the first Women's Game-Changers Mixer brought more than 220 women and their allies together to honor the women changing New Jersey. Governor Mikie Sherrill joined them, along with members of her cabinet.
